92-93 Pts James Suckling - Jamessuckling.com

"A firm and focused young red with full body, firm and silky textured tannins and a bright and fresh finish. Persistent and precise. Second wine of Smith Haut-Lafitte."

90-92 Pts Antonio Galloni - Vinous

"The 2015 Le Petit Haut Lafitte is a serious second wine built around a core of Cabernet Sauvignon. As such, it is a bit more representative of site than the Hauts de Smith. A blast of dark stone fruit, leather, scorched earth, gravel and savory herbs makes a strong first impression. All the signatures of the estate come through nicely in this powerful, brooding second wine from Smith Haut Lafitte. Far from an easygoing second wine, the 2015 has enough depth and structure to drink well for a number of years. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot."

90-92 Pts Neal Martin - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2015 Le Petit Haut Lafitte is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. It has an intriguing bouquet, touches of shellfish, an estuarine element infiltrating the lifted black fruit, the new oak (20%) cunningly disguised. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is more breeding here than the Les Hauts de Smith, more precision and mineralité conveyed by the finish. A well-crafted Pessac-Léognan, give this a couple of years in bottle and you will have a lovely wine on your hands."

Description:

It's no secret that the 2015 vintage in Bordeaux was nothing short of spectacular. The first big vintage to get excited about since 2010. It will forever be mentioned along with the great 2000 and 2005 vintages as well as one of the best vintages in recent memory.

The wines will start to make their way into the market late this year and early next year. Below is the first offer we have to offer from this vintage.

The wine is the Le Petit Haut Lafitte Rouge and it has already earned a slew of great scores (90-92 WA, 90-92 AG, 92-93 JS etc)

At $29.99 ... this is one of the best buys of the vintage. It is ... and we don't say this lightly ... AMAZING for the $$$. Plus ... as a bonus point ... you can drink it just about on release or age it for years to come!!!

It is a rather big and bold wine, matured in oak barrels during 14 months. The 2015 Le Petit Haut Lafitte is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.

As stated in the reviews below, and if you are familiar with the brand, you should know that you will get a serious wine for the $$$!
