2010 La Peira Coteaux Du Languedoc Les Obriers Terrasses Du Larzac
"The least expensive cuvee, the 2010 Les Obriers Terrasses du Larzac is a special selection made for American importer Eric Solomon. The brilliant Claude Gros, who also produces what I believe is the best wine of the Roussillon, Chateau de Negly, oversees this unfined and unfiltered beauty made from an intriguing blend of 65% Cinsault and 35% Carignan aged 18-24 months in wood foudres. This much Cinsault usually produces a light wine as well as magnificent roses, but this offering is surprisingly deep. The flowery component of this varietal, combined with deep raspberry and kirsch-like fruit, medium body and an elegant style give this wine a Burgundian sensuality and finesse. I do not believe this remarkable 2010 will age well given its varietal composition, but who really knows? Certainly it is brilliant now and should continue to drink well for 3-4 years. Donât miss it, especially if you love flowers, raspberries and finesse. "- 91 Points Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

"The 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes a gorgeous drinker that gives up lots of black cherry, lavender, peppery spice and Provençal notes to go with a medium to full-bodied, elegant and layered feel on the palate. Like all of this estate's wines, the tannin quality is top notch and while not a massive wine, it excels on its silky texture, beautiful fruit and outstanding finish. Deeper in pitch and darker in character than the non-V.V. bottling, displaying intense black raspberry and blueberry aromas and flavors accompanied by hints of licorice and candied lavender.
