This is very classy."

Here the expressive and well-layered nose is exotic but not tropical in character with notes of dried yellow fruit, white peach, floral and airy citrus nuances. "Jean-Michel Chartron has really been ratcheting up his historic, Puligny-based domaine in recent vintages and I feel that there the reputation of this domaine is yet to catch up with quality you will find. Take just one look at the portfolio and you will see that Jean-Michel presides over some enviable parcels, even anomalies such as his red Puligny-Montrachet, as far as I know the only survivor (though as Jean-Michel pointed out to me, around one-third of the vines in Puligny were red until the Second World War.) You will find much to like in his 2013s, the wines generally full of vivacity and minerality, expressive of their respective terroirs." - Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
