"Since we all last interacted on Wine Library TV, something funny emerged. From 2014-2016, I started liking domestic Chardonnay ... It has been fun to be rekindled with the wines I loved in the late 90's. I have been tasting a lot of them over the last 3 years in a casual environment at meetings and life events.

The 2013 cornerstone really captures my attention because of its balance between fruit and acidity and the subtle nature of its hints of nuts, stone fruit and a wonderful explosion of tropical oils and fruits .. This is easily the best $20 Chardonnay I have had in a long time. Its $40 suggested retail price rivals most $40-60 white burgundies sitting on our shelves and on wine lists across the country." Dynamic, mineral and stone-fruit aromatics are broadened by a touch of oak in this lovely, light gold chardonnay. Very firm and crisp on the palate without a hint of sweetness or overt buttery flavors. Deep and layered flavors linger for minutes after each sip. This classically styled chardonnay will evolve ever more depth and elegance with three or four years of bottle age.
