"Giorgio Ciccheroâs family has been producing wine since 1883. Together with longtime friend Pier Carlo Bergaglio, a prestigious Gavi and Dolcetto producer in Ovada, have teamed up to produce UOâ Rosê.
They first started the concept in 1978 after Giorgio came back from a vacation in the south of France where he discovered the Rosé wines of Provence and fell in love.
Over the following 28 years, Giorgio and his father tried to replicate a style similar to a Provencal Rosé with little success. Harvest after harvest, the wine was not good enough for bottling. In 2006 they finally developed the right formula.
