"Deep ruby color tending to garnet with aging. Complex bouquet of red berries with hints of sage and rhubarb. Full-bodied and elegant flavor, tannins are mild, soft and warm to the palate.

From the coast up to Scansano, historically the most suited hilly areas of the Maremma. The vines grow in naturally sandy and muddy soil at an average altitude of 590ft ASL. The ripening of the Sangiovese grapes is earlier than other areas in Tuscany. The harvest is in late September and fermentation is carried out in 3963 gal. stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature of 81 F. The maceration is approximately 1 week, followed by approximately 2 months of fining on noble lees. The wine is bottled in April and put on the market in September after being bottle-aged for 4 months." - Importer
