Description:
"The nose is filled with bright fruit and minerality. Hints of dried cranberry and rose potpourri fade to cherry cola and sweet maple syrup. This wine has good acid. Cocoa and chocolate turn into a dusty and graphite finish while the chewy mid palate slowly rolls to a long finish. Still in its youth but shows great potential.
The Sacrashe vineyard is situated high above Auberge du Soleil in the eastern Rutherford appellation at 750-800 feet elevation. The growing conditions are tough due to rocks and tufa (solidified volcanic ash), limiting the vines' vigor and crop yields (1.8 tons per acre), but offering explosive flavors and concentration ultimately producing our most extravagant Cabernet." - Winery
