"The 2006 Mira is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Garnacha Tintorera, and 10% Monastrell aged for 20 months in new French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it displays a reticent nose of toasty oak, blackberry, and black currant. On the palate layers of succulent fruit emerge accented by lots of spice, licorice, and mineral notes. With enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, it will offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2021. "
"Only the grapes from the self owned 52 hectares of vineyard surrounding the winery are harvested following a strict selection and vinification process with a cool maceration previous to alcoholic fermentation and post fermentative maceration with skins and seeds. Gentle use of pigeage instead of pump overs to avoid over oxigenation and allowing the integrity of the skins. Farming Practice: Sustainable. Age of Vines: 26-year-old Garnacha Tintorera, 15-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon 31-year-old Monastrell.
