**Please note, this wine is a 1.5L, which is bigger than a 750mL bottle!**

Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Best Price on Web is determined by Wine-Searcher prices as of yesterday: Wine Library sells this for our sale price of $34.99. Please note, we are not taking virtual inventory into account.

Free shipping on orders of 2 bottles or more!

Ranked #68 in the Top 100 of 2014
"Focused yet expressive, this balanced red offers cherry, boysenberry and currant fruit, with accents of toast, licorice and mineral. The flavors build through the long and spicy finish. Drink now through 2020. 6,660 cases made -TM" (02/14)

91 Pts Luis Gutierrez - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2010 Mencia takes advantage of the blending and diversity of terroirs and the use of both American and French oak, which gives complexity to the end product. Mineral and balsamic, fresh and ripe, it is my favorite wine from the portfolio today. It is clean, pure and delightful to drink. Drink 2014-2018." (08/13)

90 Pts Wine Enthusiast

"This is full, ripe and baked on the nose, with aromas of raisin, blackberry and tobacco. The palate is friendly and just juicy enough, while raisin, plum, berry and chocolate flavors finish round and lush. Drink now. - MS" (10/14)

Description:

Tasting Notes:
"Perfet expression of mencia grape and Bierzo terroir. Complex, elegant and concentrated where we find notes of mature red fruits with mineral nuances and spices provided by the oak aging. Soft and elegant, with fine, sweet and mature tannins and a fresh and lingering finish." - Winery

Winery:
"Bodegas y Vinedos Godelia came about through the Garcia Rodríguez family's respect for nature and their enthusiasm for wine production. Descended from a long line of Galician farmers, they created a new agricultural concept by producing wine according to the old traditions, while using an integral and sustainable production process.

The bodega lies in the district of Pieros. With its typical local architecture, the old style traditional farmhouse is in perfect harmony with its beautiful surroundings in a landscape which bears witness to the passage of countless pilgrims making their way to Santiago de Compostela.

A little known, yet stunningly beautiful region, El Bierzo is a mountainous part of Spain set between Castilla Leon and Galicia. In ancient times famed for its gold mines, the soil is rich in minerals, with a continental climate and planted with innumerable old vine stocks, ideal for producing great wines.

The vineyards are among the most beautiful in the country. Many are planted in picturesque terraces on steep sloping hillsides. The result is a unique area of magnificent landscapes diverse soils and extraordinary terrain." - Winery
