Please note, orders are processed on a first come basis. If you leave the wine in your cart for even a few minutes it might have already sold out as our stock quantity is removed when you submit the order in final, not when you add it to your cart!

You will get two emails from us with regards to your order. The first email from us only confirms that we received your order. The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. Due to the high volume of sales there are times when the wine has sold out, but our system is still updating and shows it as available. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

Region: Liguria Country:Italy
Varietals: Bonamico, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo ABV:12%

Description:

"This wine made of Bonamico, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo has a dark ruby colour and notes of red berries and mellow sour cherries and a slight flavour of herbs. A fresh and pleasant wine, great with Italian food as red meat, pasta dishes and cheese." -Winery

WINERY:
"The winery is located in a historical house in Riomaggiore. It is small but well organized with state-of-the-art technology. To make wine in these rocky hills is a challenge for Elio Altare, the renowned Barolo winemaker, and Antonio Bonanni, who grew up near the vineyards of the Cinque Terre. Together they want to contribute to the rebirth of this extraordinary terroir." -Winery

"Azienda Agricola Campogrande comes to us by way of Elio Altare, the famed Barolo producer. Altare bought these vineyards in Cinqueterre in late 2000. After completely excavating the land, he replanted the area with indigenous varietals including Bosco (white), and Bonamico & Ciliegiolo (red). The vines are all trained in a Guyot & Pergola system (Elio is the only one in the region who has vines planted in this fashion)."

"The soil here is a thin layer of sandy top soil making way to a base of stone and granite that make up the rocky hillsides of Cinqueterre. Harvesting is all by hand, and the vines are planted with optimum exposure to the sea. Azienda Agricola Campogrande is located in the village of Riomaggiore, on the highest part of the hill called Serra. Cinqueterre is home to some of the steepest vineyards in the world, and it is without a doubt one of the most picturesque." -Importer

VINEYARDS:
"Our biggest vineyard gave the name to the winery. Campogrande, or 'cianun' in dialect, means 'big field' and it really seems big compared to the small vineyards that are typical for the Cinque Terre. Campogrande is situated in the highest part of the hill called Serra. The vineyard was abandoned and covered with forest before being cleared and replanted in rows in 2005." -Winery
