The second email will confirm that we have enough wine to fill your order. We're sorry for any inconvenience and will do what we can to fill your order!

Thanks to your feedback we might bring back some of Cinderella Wine's popular previous offers. If a wine makes another appearance here, this newer offer will always be slightly higher than the original one. Offers that are on the site on Friday through Sunday will be shipped on Monday.

92 Pts Jeb Dunnuck - The Rhone Report

"A rock solid '08 and a wine that will compete with the best of the vintage, the 2008 Saint Jean du Barroux Cotes du Ventoux l'Argile is a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Carignan, and 5% Cinsault, fermented with close to one-third stem inclusion, that was aged all in concrete and tank. It exhibits an elegant, finesse driven style with small red berries, flowers, white pepper, and sappy garrigue-like characteristics flowing to a medium-bodied, seamless palate that has integrated acidity, very fine tannin, and loads of minerality on the finish. Approachable and ready to go, this will continue to shine for another 4-6 years or so." (10/12)

90 Pts Wine Spectator

"Mature now, leading off with incense and black tea notes, with a still-fleshy core of blackberry and black cherry fruit. Features a graphite edge on the finish. Drink now. -JM" (2013)

Winemaker:
Philippe Gimel

"Le Barroux is a small Provencal town located in the heart of the Vaucluse. Its twelfth century castle overhangs the stone-built village houses and picturesque alleys. In between the two famous mountains, the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, le Barroux is renowned as being an excellent tourist site, providing a magnificent scenic point of view. Nature surrounds the village, forests and fruit trees, intermingled with vines which paint a varying landscape of changing colors. The small estate vineyardsof Saint Jean du Barroux extend over 15 hectares of the hillside, at an elevation of between 300 to 400 meters. It consists of 11 hectares of vines and 4 hectares of fruit trees and forest, on alternating terraces and slopes. Owner and winemaker Philippe Gimel is the heart and soul of this tiny project, working the vineyards by hand in harmony with the environment." - Importer
